This exhibition is a testament to Gudang Gambar Gallery's enduring commitment to nurturing the vibrant tapestry of Indonesian art. Since its inception in 1999, Gudang Gambar has been more than a mere exhibition space; it has blossomed into a sanctuary for artistic souls, a crucible for creative sparks, and a bridge connecting artists and art lovers. Amidst the urban clamor, Gudang Gambar has become an oasis for seekers of inspiration, witnessing the evolution of countless artistic journeys, including that of Wenas. In 2009, Wenas joined Gudang Gambar, marking the beginning of a remarkable collaboration. Since then, he has become an integral part of the gallery's artistic family, growing alongside its spirit, and contributing his unique voice to the vibrant symphony of creativity. Wenas himself speaks of the profound impact of support and inspiration from Pak Tim Jahja as the gallery's founder and Ramdhan Djuhara as managing partner. "It's like a supplement. Their words give me a boost when I feel stuck." He said. Their encouragement goes beyond words; they have empowered Wenas with artistic knowledge, guiding him from a self-taught artist to one enriched by shared experiences and wisdom.¬ For 15 years, Gudang Gambar has been a space for Wenas to process emotions and discover his artistic soul. Wenas' decorative impressionist paintings have matured, evident in the dynamic, free brushstrokes that create a harmonious effect in the soft lines and delightful characters from Wenas' palette. Each stroke from his palette on the canvas has colored the walls of Gudang Gambar, telling the story of an artist who tirelessly explores his soul and the world, as well as the notes of a close friendship between Gudang Gambar and Wenas. This exhibition is a celebration of Gudang Gambar’s long history with its artists, including Wenas, a moment to reflect on a journey intertwined, marking a legacy of collaboration and shared vision. Also, it is a testament to the enduring power of artistic expression, as Gudang Gambar continues to enrich the vibrant landscape of Indonesian art, serving as a beacon for talented artists like Wenas.

"Timeless Remembrance," a memory that endures through time. The experience with family became both the foundation and fuel for Nue’s artistic journey. These simple moments transformed into an invaluable source of inspiration. Like small stones gathered on Bali’s beaches, each with its unique shape and colour, these moments formed a mosaic that tells the story of Nue’s life journey, a journey that led to the artworks he creates.

“The Himalayan” Berawal dari rasa kerinduan Qaliby tentang rasa yang tak bisa diwakilkan oleh kata-kata mengenai Nepal tempat bersemayam Ibu Bumi. Gunung (Ibu Bhumi) Qaliby manifestasikan sebagai tempat bermain. Permainan petak umpet misalnya, dia menganggap “Gunung adalah arena bermain petak umpet bersama diri saya yang lain untuk menemukan diri saya yang lain”.

Nue beckons us to a realm of warm and delightful nostalgia, accompanied by the adventurous Whale, his artistic emblem. This time, he unveils not just the yearning for childhood but also captures the splendour of love and affection. Within this singular exhibition, Nue portrays the essence of pure love. In this modern age, love is often cloaked in enigma, elusive and entangled with problematic connotations, utilized as political or selfish propaganda. However, Nue endeavours to transcend these tendencies, mobilizing the meaning of love and affection to a realm untethered. Hence, the title of his solo exhibit stands tall as "Love is Love," for love is love in its very essence. Love and affection, the vital components to enhance the lives of humankind and our world, such is the painterly pursuit of Nue Prastowo in this solo exhibition.

In this exhibition, Ricky Qaliby (Qaliby), presents his imaginative series of works, Peace Blossom. Peace Blossom is a piece which inspiration come from Qaliby's struggle to interpret every phenomenon of life during 2020-2022. Every pain experienced by Qaliby caused by the COVID-19 pandemic is accentuating a striking irony, that is the liberty of a human soul restrained by time and space further constrained by COVID-19. Conforming Sartre's postulation that other human beings are hell along with time and space. In existentialism, when the process of existing is limited, existing humanity are also limited.
