Wenas Heriyanto, a gifted painter from Indonesia. His work is inspired by the things he sees around him and the things he goes through. Wenas is able to convey the sacred significance of each object he finds in his artworks.
Born in May 28th, 1986 in Java, now residing in Ubud, Bali. Wenas fascination for animal is reflected in his works. Debuting in 2009, his decorative expressionist style has received a big welcome in Jakarta during some Art Fairs as well as auctions in Jakarta. Swirling around on canvas, Wenas’s palette dances freely to complete his animal silhouette he sketched from his imagination. The brush stroke of the sketch ignites the soul of his palette to create the essence of his subject matters, Animals.
With a passion for painting ignited in Ubud in 2004, I delved into the vibrant world of art, exploring an array of genres, techniques, and mediums. My heart belongs to the free-flowing and expressive style of impressionism, with inspiration drawn from the natural surroundings. The recurring theme of animals in my work symbolizes the unbridled spirit of humanity.
