I'm Nue Prastowo. I am an artist. My passion is to convey my sensitivity in absorbing the surrounding situation through my works.
Born in Yogyakarta, July 22th, 1989. Nue earned his Bachelor in Fine Arts from Indonesia's Institute of Fine Arts (Institut Seni Indonesia) in his birthplace. The hallmarks of his pieces are animal figures and wonderland settings, representation of Nue's "wondersoul". His inspirations came from his childhood's purity and his children's innocence. Nue elaborates that from purity, innocence and smiles of children, we can learn about true happiness in life. Through his modern-contemporary pieces, Nue conveys his narrative of the reality of life through Van Goghinspired colors. Through animals and colors via his impressionist style, Nue shares his views and positive, energic thoughts of optimism while also delivering the idea that life is not always fun. The main feature of his works is the manifestations of his alter-ego as whales in positioning himself in the world as well as his viewpoints.
Starting from my childhood dream to become a Visual Artist, I bridged my dream by attending the Yogyakarta Fine Arts High School and continuing to study at the ISI (Institute of Art Yogyakarta) in 2007. I strive to transfer positive energy through my works to the viewer. With my ideas and sensitivity in absorbing the surrounding situation, I can successfully convey my intentions through my works.
