Meta Pims is a talented female painter. Her paintings are Islamic Art as well as a means not only to beautify a room but also to worship, namely preaching.
Born in Surabaya, April 15th, 1973, Meta always tries to contribute to religious teaching as an Islamic art painter. Meta campaigns for every Muslim to be proud with their identity through her paintings. With this, Meta also tries to share her view of Islam aesthetically. Her imaginations combines her inner world and current reality, proponent feature is Ka'bah. Her colours succeeded in translating beauty beyond five senses.
I've always enjoyed painting since I was a child. I started painting after I stopped working because I was bored at home. Starting with cakes and cookies, I progressed to painting on furniture, then to painting walls (murals), and finally with canvas. The heart is reflected in art. I'm an introvert with something that doesn't have to be shared or understood by others. Painting is my refuge. And, as a Muslim woman, I want everything I do to have religious significance, so the paintings I created are also used to preach.
