I Wayan Balik Ariana is a Balinese painting artist who has a long track record creating artworks with marvellous creative technical visual skills.
Born in Bali, April 17th, 1985. Ariana’s traditional Balinese nature combined with his formal secondary training in arts have eventually shaped his decorative elements style, a signature of his paintings today. A Harmony of Flora, Fauna and Culture in Animal Portrait. Echoing the soul of Balinese traditional paintings that anchor in life balance, Ariana’s works are influenced by Balinese Hindu and more over accentuated with some Asian elements, making his works very Asiatique. The harmony of Flora, Fauna and Culture is delightfully captured in animal portraits born from his imagination.
I love painting starting from a simple thing, that is to meet the needs of daily life but now painting is actually one of the things I love. For me art doesn't just have aesthetic value, but it can also give a message of morality as well as the sacredness of civilized man. My works is to portray the image of wise individual through the paint of animals. In my vision is nothing different between animals and human. I aim for my painting to be able to entice humanity's awareness of their position and role in the universe and their otherwordly connection with the Deities. The painting of various animals also implies the interaction and intersection of the diversity of Balinese people that compose the harmony of the universe.
